President
Trump while speaking to a bunch of VFW veterans in Kansas City on Tuesday, told
those people, “I’ve ordered my military to buy 147 new invisible planes.”
“How
terrific, how beautiful to fly an invisible plane. This is an invisible plane.
You can’t see it.” Trump continued to say, “ So when I talk to even people from
the other side, they’re trying to own our plane. They like the fact that you
can’t see it. I said, ‘how would it do in battle with your plane?’ They say,
‘well we have one problem-we can’t see your plane.’ That’s a big problem.”
“Stealth
means invisible. I looked it up. And, check it out. There’s an F-35 invisible
stealth fighter on the South Lawn. It’s special—can’t see it. We are buying
billions and billions of dollars worth of that beautiful F-35.”
During a White House event with the Lockheed Martin CEO,
Marilyn Hewson, the president turned to her and said, “It’s stealth—you can’t
see it, is that correct?” She answered, “That’s correct, Mr. President.” Then
she was seen turning her head away from Trump and rolled her eyes.
